As 2024 comes to a close, the entire Tilkal team sincerely thanks our clients, both longstanding and new. Together, we overcame major challenges, earned prestigious accolades, and laid strong foundations for the future. Let’s take a look back at the highlights of 2024.
👥 Our Achievements in 2024: A Team Effort
EUDR Module Deployment
We launched our EUDR module designed to ensure full compliance with the European anti-deforestation law: it integrates 5 possible sources of satellite analysis, is scalable to incorporate different sources of risk analysis, and is progressive to adapt to the role(s) of each operator in the value chain. Adopted by several companies, global groups, and SMEs, our EUDR module is fully interconnected with the official EU TRACES reporting platform, covering production uses for 6 out of the 7 commodities affected by the EUDR and their derived products.
Our EUDR module enables full automation of data collection processes and reporting for all operator modes (importation, trade exchanges, market placement, export), providing efficiency, time savings, and accuracy. Through dedicated analysis algorithms, the module offers full visibility into risks related to sourcing and deforestation (suppliers, plots, batches, orders, etc.), detects potential non-compliance issues, and facilitates optimized decision-making.
Regulations Handbook, 2nd Edition
We expanded our "Regulations Handbook" to cover 15 key global regulations, adding five major new laws. The handbook helps businesses anticipate and prepare for regulatory changes, with an annex providing insight into 22 additional regulations.
Traceability Open Connect
Traceability is a team sport. Sustainable solutions cannot thrive in isolation. That’s why we launched a unique collaborative ecosystem to facilitate data sharing and transparency across value chains. With 11 partners to date addressing complementary business needs (risk analysis, LCA, scoring, markers, PIM/PLM, etc.), we ensure traceability is accessible, secure, and interoperable.
🤝 A Vibrant and Inspiring Community
This year, we welcomed diverse brands, industrials, and initiatives into our community, including Longchamp, Savencia Gourmet, Diptyque, Transitions DD, ASD, and more. This diversity is our strength and a great source of value for our clients, fostering shared learning and mutual progress.
A highlight was a round table held during Produrable 2024, where Petit Bateau, Transitions DD, and Eramet shared their ambitions, approaches, and experiences. [Resource in french]

📅 Regulatory Highlights of 2024: A Turning Point
This year saw major regulatory developments, including:
Adoption of CS3D: The Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive was approved, raising due diligence requirements.
Environmental Cost of Textiles: A new decree in France assesses the global environmental impact of textile products, guiding consumers to make informed choices.
Forced Labor Regulation (EUFLR): The EU banned the sale of products linked to forced labor, including online sales, effective in three years.
EUDR Application Delay: The implementation date for EUDR was postponed to December 30, 2025, giving businesses more time to meet new due diligence requirements.
Heading for 2025!
2025 marks the implementation of the CSRD, the deployment of the DPP for batteries, the start of the testing phase for environmental costs on textile products, and the first reports under the EUDR framework. It is also the time to prepare for the regulatory deadlines set for 2026, such as the Breakfast Directive, the FSMA, or the ESPR.
More than ever, Tilkal's holistic "backbone" traceability approach aims to enable you to approach these developments with confidence.
Thank you for your commitment and trust. Let’s continue building sustainable, resilient value chains together!
